04 / PRINT & ASSEMBLY

Printing and assembly

Check slicing and fit after downloading.

  1. Print list: 2 boxes, 2 complete-bottom inner trays, 2 tongue-mesh lids and 1 movable handle, 7 printed parts in total. Each level is a separate closed box; 1–3 levels are one set of parameters; all upper and lower fork ears, outer lid ears and feet print with the box; no hidden hinge axles or links.
  2. Required purchased BOM: 6 × ISO 4762 M3×12 mm and 2 × ISO 4762 M3×20 mm fully threaded socket head screws, 8 × DIN 934 M3 hex nuts; standard head Ø5.5 mm / 3 mm high, nut 5.5 mm across flats / 2.4 mm thick, 0.5 mm coarse thread. 2 × M3×12 per lid + 2 for the handle; 1 × M3×20 front and back between each level; 0 items; nothing to buy. Tools: 1 HS2.5 hex key and 1 × 5.5 mm open-end wrench (retail BAHCO 111M-5.5, 112 mm long / 14.3 × 3.7 mm jaw; software envelope 15 × 4 mm / 120 mm long); an HS2.5 tool such as the retail Wera 950 PKL 2.5 mm (112 × 18 mm L-shape, software envelope 115 × 20 mm, short end enters the head 1.2 mm, standard socket depth 1.3 mm; the short end only turns 60° outward to remove/reset and is not forced all the way around the handle). Standards do not scale with the box's outer size; product specs can be checked in the Accu SSCF-M3-12-A4-R360/SSC-M3-20-A4-BL/NUT203M3 datasheets; equivalent standard parts need no cutting or hole changes. The software conservatively treats the 1 mm incomplete thread at the tail as a clear coverage probe, verifying with a full shank / standard 1.3 mm drive socket head / nut; thread engagement has not been measured.
  3. The real closed outer envelope of 220 × 180 × 164 mm includes the feet, widest outer ears and highest beam. Level pitch 61.00 mm; each cell is 55.10 × 65.15 × 51.60 mm clear, 12 cells in total. Reference: each cell holds a closed 36 × 24 × 18 mm accessory box plus 2 hard Ø2.4 mm balls; compatibility with specific products is not promised.
  4. Minimum hard granule nominal 2.4 mm, slit 0.400 mm, tongue 2 mm thick / 3 mm into the slot. Each section's dividers and the outer ring top slots match the lid tongues, with side/end/top gaps all controlled by the same gap; retention is designed by minimum ball diameter and minimum solid thickness; bare hooks, thin wires, soft bags, liquids/powders are not suitable, and no mixing prevention, sealing or waterproofing is provided.
  5. In the empty box, first lower the complete inner tray, then drop the lid straight on; insert the M3×12 from above through the outer lid ear, with the nut/wrench under the ear outside the compartment. Place closed boxes from low to high; insert an M3×20 from left to right through the front and rear fork ears and fit a nut on the right; lower the handle onto the dedicated outer ears at the rear edge (Y = 79.00 mm) of the top box, insert two M3×12 from above and fit the nuts under the outer ears. M3×12 grip length 7 mm, 2.6 mm of shank past the nut; M3×20 outer double ears 14.4 mm total width, 3.2 mm of shank past the nut; full thread margins ≥ 1.6/2.2 mm respectively. Hole Ø3.4; the 7 mm middle ears between levels pair with an 8.4 mm gap, leaving 0.7 mm per side.
  6. To take out a single box, support it from below, remove the M3×20 bolts/nuts at the front and back of the target joint, raise the closed group above it 13 mm clear of the fork ears and move it away; to take out a middle level, first remove the group above it, then release the joint. Remove the lid only once the upper level is fully separated: remove the two lid M3×12 and the nuts outside the compartment, lift 15.5 mm over the outer fork ears and move the whole lid forward, with the fixed handle staying in place; front clearance of at least the body width + 30 mm.
  7. Two-finger reference Ø10 mm per cell; lift items out along the front and back sides of the 36 × 24 × 18 item; to service the inner tray, empty each cell and remove the handle, pinch the inner walls of an empty cell with two fingers, lift it straight up 67.6 mm and move it away; it is not claimed that a fully loaded inner tray can be lifted by hand from its thin slot edge. To move the handle to a single box, first support the bottom, remove the two beam bolts/nuts and lift the beam straight off, then fit it to the dedicated holes of a single box with the same configuration; do not loosen screws while carrying it.
  8. Recommended: body feet on the bed with supports reviewed for the raised main floor and outer ear holes, inner tray bottom on the bed, lid flipped top down in the slicer; review supports and a fit sample for the handle span and foot/ear overhangs. Check slicing before printing; before use, check print tolerances, bolt loosening, clamping, handle/fork ear strength, load-bearing, impact, life and sealing. The rear handle helps you grip and position it, but the grip point is off the center of gravity; support the box bottom with both hands when moving; one-handed level or full-load carrying safety is not claimed. Install and remove only on a desk; not for fixing in vehicles or on boats.

Import into your slicer in millimeters and check build volume, orientation and supports for each part. Test-print lids, drawers and connectors first, and print the full set once the fit is confirmed.
