04 / PRINT & ASSEMBLY

Printing and assembly

Check slicing and fit after downloading.

  1. Supply a suitable absorbent sponge and palette paper; the paper length and width are also the sponge cut size; enter the sponge thickness as its actual working thickness when wet, with paper thickness set separately. Consumables are not included in the print files.
  2. Lay the wet sponge and flatten the palette paper first, then put the paper frame on the outer step; covers 4 mm of the paper on all four sides. Add a little water through the small holes on both sides; the reference line is measured from the inner tray floor and does not go above the sponge top; remove the frame to empty and wash it.
  3. Twin ears lift the frame straight up, and the four corner notches let it pass the lid locating pins; line the lid up with the four pins from above and drop it onto the tray rim. Lift the lid at least 3 mm before moving it sideways, and empty it before carrying; no latch; do not lift the whole box by the lid.
  4. The number, size and depth of the separate shallow wells on the lid are adjustable; put the lid on a nearby flat table in use. The wet tray work surface stays continuous, with no dividers on the paper.
  5. This model does not promise airtightness, leak resistance, moisture retention time or carrying with water; check for leaks and make sure the paper does not curl before use. Test PLA layer seams, material and paint compatibility and cleaning yourself.
  6. All three parts print flat side down; check the short bridges of the four 4.8 mm blind holes in the lid underside and the small locating pins when slicing. Test-print the 0.4 mm design fit first to check tightness and paper clamping force.

Import into your slicer in millimeters and check build volume, orientation and supports for each part. Test-print lids, drawers and connectors first, and print the full set once the fit is confirmed.
