04 / PRINT & ASSEMBLY

Printing and assembly

Check slicing and fit after downloading.

  1. Set by the yarn ball's maximum measured diameter; movement clearance is the distance per side. The single yarn ball space stays open, with no dividers to block its movement.
  2. Lay the yarn sideways into the right slot from the top edge, then wrap it along the return hook to the bottom guide point; no need to cut the yarn or punch holes in the knitted piece. To remove the cable, slide it out along the slot in reverse.
  3. The guide slot's nominal width is the cord diameter + 1.5 mm, with 0.5 mm edge chamfers; after printing, remove supports and burrs and check for snagging with real yarn.
  4. Check slicing with the flat base down; the top edge of the return hook may need supports; before use, check how a free yarn ball pays out, friction, tension stability and snagging; not a guarantee against tipping or forceful pulling off.

Import into your slicer in millimeters and check build volume, orientation and supports for each part. Test-print lids, drawers and connectors first, and print the full set once the fit is confirmed.
