Choose a bin or a baseplate, enter cells and height, and get standard Gridfinity-compatible parts. Preview in 3D and export STL and STEP.
Size
Each Gridfinity cell is 42 mm and height comes in 7 mm units. A bin measures 42 × cells − 0.5 mm; its height includes the 7 mm base but not the stacking lip.
For a baseplate enter the number of cells; it is split into pieces if it is larger than your bed. Turn on “Fill a given size” to enter any width and depth; a solid border fills the rest so it fits a drawer, shelf or desk area snugly.
Bins and baseplates work with any Gridfinity-compatible part. They are modelled independently from the public dimensions; Gridfinity was started by Zack Freedman and boxesmodel is not affiliated with it.
Dividers and options
Dividers split the bin into compartments across and front to back; dividers are 1.2 mm thick and each compartment is at least 10 mm.
The label tab sits at the top of the back wall of each column for a label; the scoop curves the bottom of the front wall so small parts are easier to pick out.
The stacking lip lets bins stack on each other; turn it off to save 4.4 mm. Magnet holes take 6×2 mm magnets for steel surfaces or magnetic baseplates.
Bed size
Enter your printer’s bed size and maximum print height, or pick a common printer below. A bin must fit the printable area; a baseplate is split to it.
Reading the print plan
A bin is one file; the quantity sets how many to print and how many plates that takes. Each baseplate piece is one plate. Filament is estimated for PLA; your slicer gives the real figure.
Print open side up with no supports; 0.2 mm layers work well. Print one bin and one baseplate to test the fit first.
